Linkages: providing access to grants and other service providers needed to achieve your export goals
There is a range of state and federal government grants available to assist businesses launch into the export environment. As part of our Business Export Readiness service, we can identify the grants relevant to your business and can assist you in accessing those programs. The Haystack Group works with a range of service providers to help ensure that your export sales are safe, secure and sustainable. These service providers include freight forwarders, financial support services, legal advisors and government agencies. We are happy to share these with you where appropriate.
Product Sourcing & Development
The Haystack Group is able to source products on your behalf. Over the years we have established a solid network of quality manufacturers and suppliers who can create products for you. This even includes a network of businesses specialising in food and wine production.
We source products to suit your budget, design and specific needs. Our suppliers have proven their high standards of quality control and efficiency so you can be confident that the end product will be exactly what you want.
We also assist businesses working under the Visa 163 process to source products at competitive prices in either proprietary brands or under your own brand.
Grants for your business
While there is a range of grants you can access, the two main grant sources available are;
EMDG – Export Marketing Development Grant
This grant is available to new and current exporters and it is managed by Austrade. If you have spent $20,000 over two years on eligible export marketing expenses you may apply for a grant which will reimburse you up to 50% of the expenditure over $10,000. The grants are between $5000 and a maximum of $150,000.
To be eligible for a grant, your export product has to meet certain criteria. Primarily it has to be a product, service, tourism service, conference or intellectual property that was developed or will significantly benefit Australia.
Research & Development Grant
The R&D Tax Incentive provides small and medium sized enterprises with an aggregated turnover of less than $20 million p.a. with a 45% refundable tax offset. Companies with a turnover of $20+ million have access to a 40% non-refundable tax offset.
We can assist you to register your R&D project with AusIndustry and then compile the necessary documentation to file for the rebate when you file your company tax return.
There are eligibility requirements that you must meet. Your business must own the results of your R&D, you must develop a proper R&D plan and then maintain accurate written records and they results must benefit the Australian economy. There are more requirements that need to be taken into account and we can advise you of these.
